The VIII Regional Conference "Industrial Energy and Environmental Protection in the Countries of Southeast Europe"  was supposed to be held in June 2021, but was postponed due to the uncertain situation with the Covid-19 pandemic. The Thermal Society of Serbia continues with the VIII Regional Conference IEEP’22 in 2022. It is after 28 years since the first conference entitled "Industrial Energy" and after the successful  seven regional conferences  with changed name in "Industrial Energy and Environmental Protection in Southeast Europe" . The persistent exchange of views on how the industry can improve its energy field and place energy efficiency on a higher level is the goal of this conference and it is especially important now when there is uncertainty in energy supply, unpredictable growth of energy prices and unstable political situation. Serbian Society of Thermal Engineers organizes this conference again to enable the meeting of  the professionals from industry, science and state institutions. The VIII conference IEEP’22 is above all an opportunity to analyze the actual achievements in improving energy efficiency, environmental protection and application of renewable energy sources .
